The DL shall deliver the site, controlling the processes, accepting materials, editing accounts, finishing of works, regular execution and, if necessary, testing. He must take some documents (manual of measurements, record of accounts, lists of workers and supplies, summary record of account, progress of works, payment certificates, final state). It is power of the DL to prepare service orders for not provided processing, and in case of inadequacy of the original plan for a complex of situations occurred during the work and not predictable, he may order variations to the project.

Another aspect of considerable importance is the security coordination in the construction site: for this purpose is defined a professional figure who prepares the security plan and coordination in the planning phase (SGP) and one that makes the coordination during the executive part. If the DL is enabled, he must necessarily also cover those functions described.
