Leonardo is a stretcher-frame whose structure, made totally of an aluminium alloy, is designed to ensure an uniform and constant tension of the canvas: the object is attached on the particular outer perimeter of the frame that follows automatically and faithfully the movements of the canvas itself. All this is possible through a system of sliding angles guarantying the flatness of the perimeter bars and a movement in a perfectly parallel plane to the one of the painting.
The outer perimeter is bound to the internal stiff structure through adaptable spring jacks, with parts in nylon, that oppose the movement of the canvas stretched according to the desired intensity.
The internal structure is made in a modular way using aluminium profiles, simple joints, overlaps and assemblies employing threaded bolts in brass; this design feature facilitates the construction, the transport and assembly in site of the stretcher-frame.
With the help of modern equipments can be prepared stretcher-frames in shape regular and non regular with claps, with minimum radius also below the meter.
